Storytelling Through Film, Writing and Art
Hi, I'm Kristina. I'm a high school filmmaker, writer and artist who loves telling stories. Whether I'm drawing a character, writing a script, directing a film or exploring animation, I'm always looking for new ways to bring ideas to life. I enjoy working with other people, trying new ideas and learning something from every project I create.
Directing
I love bringing stories to life through film. I've directed several short film projects, including Melon and most recently directed a collaborative short film during an intensive filmmaking workshop. I enjoy working with writers, actors and crew to turn an idea into something people can experience on screen.
Although I acted in some of my earlier projects, I realized I enjoyed being behind the camera much more. Acting helped me understand what performers need from a director, and I still think about that whenever I'm working with actors on set.
Screenwriting
I've written several original screenplays, including Melon, Ghosts Among Us and a new vampire short. I enjoy creating original stories, developing memorable characters and turning ideas on the page into stories that come alive on screen.
Character Design
Designing is an important part of my creative process. I enjoy illustrating characters and exploring visual storytelling through it, using art to develop ideas that often find their way into my films and screenplays. I'm also interested in animation and how it can bring stories and characters to life in new ways.
